A Norwegian Kiss

About Me

Robin is an award winning photographer specialising in Wildlife and Landscapes
images and having fun whilst at it.

"Extensively travelled, I can help your photographic skills with Landscape to Wildlife - where to go, what to do and what to take.

I've been kissed by a wolf in Norway, climbed inside a giant tortoise shell in the Galapagos, hiked up the glacier into the Crystalline Ice Caves of Iceland and I've hiked to 5005m to sip tea with the locals under the shadows of  Mt Chomolari in the Himalayas of Bhutan.

I've hiked the dunes of the world's largest desert in the UAE to photograph the Emirati's falcons flying past me at 150km/hr and I've yelled out aloud in sheer joy of the dancing Northern lights whilst stuck up to my waist in the dark in fresh snow in the Lofoten islands.

I've spent days photographing the adorable Atlantic Puffins on Skomer Island in Wales and watched a herd of white Camargue horses gallop towards me out of the ocean in the pink sky dawn.

I've fallen in love snorkelling with those cheeky Humpback Whales in Tonga and played underwater tag with the Sealions of Kangaroo Island. I've chased the ferocious summer storms of Sydney with their shelf clouds and lightning; and stalked the super tiny , super fast Rainbow Bee Eaters on the far north coast of NSW. Last summer I set myself the challenge of photographing the Flying Foxes of Sydney as they dipped into cooling waters during a heatwave.

Weekend  are for long exposure sunrises, putting the drone up to look for whales off the coast or snorkelling the clear water of the NSW South Coast  amongst the sociable stingrays.

Lightroom and Photoshop  are my digital playground for editing and  I shoot in mind
with using my photos for the composites in my imagination.
I reckon Life is an adventure and there's always something  to find around the corner!

I started with an a7, progressed to an A7sii and  a7rii  and now i have
a new love - the a7riv. The A7 allowed me to start my journey with Sony and the
a7riv brings me to a new level of resolution that blows me away. I still use my a7rii
as a second body for shooting below the water, but the a7r4 provides me
a level of detail and ability to crop  . Coming in Spring 2021 is my new Sony A1  and i can shoot birdlife at an amazing 30 frames per second.

Robin  is married to Timothy, another photographic tragic , so all our adventures are shared.
